When troubles set in and worries surround us, many times we feel that the Lord has forgotten us. At times we feel as though we are holding the weight of the world upon our shoulders. These are the times that we need to remember that the Lord is merciful and will come to our rescue. "God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord" I Corinthians 1:9.
Remember in the past how God has helped you. Remember the prayers He has answered, the dreams He has made come true, and healing that He has brought to your physical body or emotional healing to your heart. Recall the individual times He has intervened and given you supply for your needs.
Page after page of Old Testament scripture reveals numerous times that He delivered His people from all sorts of hardships, trials, and mishaps. Promise after promise is given to us in the New Testament and they are all "yes" in Christ Jesus. Instead of looking to our circumstances, problems, or wounds, let us lift our eyes unto God and rejoice, knowing that He is in control and will work on our behalf. Suffering may last for awhile, but God is faithful. Eyes of faith in the One who loves us will cause us to walk in peace and joy even in our troubles and problems.
