"Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me,
bless His holy name." Psalms 103:1

Liberty is freedom. Jesus came to set us free from the bondages of sin and strife.  He gives us freedom to live and be who we were created to be. Is it not awesome that we through Jesus can be the person whom God intended us to be? Just knowing this gives me a steadfast hope and security that God will accomplish His will for my life and that I will be happy and peaceful.  I am very content in the knowledge that Jesus is always with me and that He knows exactly what is good and not good for me.

"For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God created, not of works lest any man should boast.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:8-10).

It makes my heart happy to know that I no longer have to be a people pleaser, just one that pleases God.  As I strive to please God my heavenly Father, my life blossoms out and, in pleasing Him, I am enabled to be a blessing to others.  By God's grace, I have been set free.

When we set our eyes upon the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and remember exactly who we are in Him, we find that all of life situations and circumstances are made bearable and we are content and joyful.

Law of Liberty: Freedom in Jesus
In Jesus we are...

A child of God
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name"
(John 1:12).

A joint heir with Christ
"and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him" (Romans 8:17).

A new creation
"Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Chosen of God and dearly loved
"And so those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved"
(Colossians 3:12).

Appointed by Christ to bear His fruit
"You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit" (John 15:16).

Salt of the earth
"You are the salt of the earth" (Matthew 5:13).

Loved and accepted
"...but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which
we cry out, "Abba! Father!" (Romans 8:15).

Forgiven
"having canceled out the certificate of debts consisting of decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross" (Colossians 2:14).

Free to live
"If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed" (John 8:36).

No more condemnation
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1).

As children of God, we receive from our Father tender loving care that is full of compassion, love, understanding, and mercy. In Jesus we are precious children who have received mercy and pardon. We are accepted, loved, and cherished. We have been set free from condemnation, guilt, and shame.  What release - freedom!
