"For the promise is unto you, and to your children,
and to all
that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."
Acts 2:39

|
As we walk in Christ, it is very important that we believe that our heavenly Father will bring to pass all that He has promised. With a simple child-like faith, we are to place our confidence in God's ability to care for us and to guide us in all areas of our life.
Our Lord has made many promises in His Word and all
of the promises are yes in Jesus.
"For the Son of God,
Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us-- by me and
Silvanus and Timothy-- was not yes and no, but is yes in Him.
For as many as may be the promises of God,
in Him they are yes;
wherefore also by Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us" (2 Corinthians 1:19-20 NAS).
We truly can trust the LORD GOD. Why? Because God is utterly trustworthy. We can count on Him to abide by His words to us because God cannot lie. He is always the same - today, yesterday, and tomorrow.
Below are a few very important promises that God has given to His children. They are ones which will help guide us through life's up and downs. But we must accept them in faith and and by faith apply them to our life. |

If we need wisdom, it is promised: "If any of you
lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men
liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" (James 1:5).
If we need strength, we shall have it: "Do you not
know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord,
the Creator of the ends of the earth does not
become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power" (Isaiah 40:28 NAS).
If we have a need, we may ask of our Father:
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!" (Matthew 7:1 NAS)
If we need direction, our Father will provide it: "And your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left" (Isaiah 30:21 NAS).
If we need to be forgiven, He will forgive: "If we
confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us
our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:9 NAS). |
