Psalms 23
"The Lord is
my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me
to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me
beside still waters.
[My thoughts:
Jesus is my shepherd who continuously
watches over me and provides for my every
need. He lies me down in satisfaction and
rests me in peace.]
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me
in the paths of righteousness for His name's
sake.
[My thoughts:
When I am sad, weary, or anxious, Jesus
revives my spirit to continue on. He leads
me in uprightness and truth guiding me to
live in the way that leads to heaven.]
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for
Thou art with me: Thy rod and Thy staff they
comfort me.
[My thoughts:
Jesus has given me consolation because He is
with through all times. Even in death, he
will be with me to carry me safely home. I
am continuously in the hand of His unfailing
love, care, and protection.]
Thou preparest a table before me in
the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest
my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
[My thoughts: I
can rest in knowing that God will provide
for all of my needs whether they be
physical, emotional, or spiritual and that
He not only provides for them but will
provide for me in abundance.]
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life; and I
will dwell in the house of the Lord for
ever.
[My thoughts:
God deals with me in mercy and with love. It
is for certain that His goodness and mercy
will always be with me and that one day I
will dwell with Him in heaven.]
