.. Sing a New Song Unto The Lord ..

As I listen to the virgin Mary's song to God, my heart is reminded once again of God's gracious love. Mary praised  and exalted God as Savior and Lord, as the One with whom nothing is impossible, and as the God who has shown great mercy and love. Just reading the scriptures where her song is recorded makes me want to sing praises to God for His goodness and mercy. I pray that your heart will be as blessed as mine has been, as you center your attention on our gracious and good God. O, that we will sing praises to God as Mary did!

Will you join me in reading the song that Mary sang...

"And Mary Said:  "My soul exalts the Lord, And My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

"For He has had regard for the humble state of His bond slave; For behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed.

For the Mighty One has done great things for me; And holy is His name.

AND HIS MERCY IS UPON GENERATION AFTER GENERATION TOWARD THOSE WHO FEAR HIM.

He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart.

He has brought down rulers from their thrones, And has exalted those who were humble.

HE HAS FILLED THE HUNGRY WITH GOOD THINGS; And sent away the rich empty-handed.

He has given help to Israel His servant, in remembrance of His mercy.

As He spoke to our father, To Abraham and his offspring forever."

My soul sings..

O Lord, my soul exalts in You. You regarded the state of mankind and stretched forth Your hand to SAVE US. ALMIGHTY GOD has accomplished SALVATION for all who fear Him.

Your mercy
has come! You have filled my mouth with good things. The Mighty ONE has done good things for me! You have brought forth Your salvation through Your Son.

Holy is Your Name, O Lord. You have done great and marvelous works for those who fear You.  You will accomplish all your thoughts and plans for me through Jesus Christ my Lord.

You gave me my need for You, and then You filled it with goodness and mercy. I opened my mouth and You fed me. I cried out and You answered me. Great is the Lord! Mighty are Your works.
