Praise Him in song, lifting our voices high
and make joyful melodies that fill the sky

"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life" (John 4:14).

Before knowing Jesus, my soul was like a desert dry and void of life. I sought to find happiness in people and material things. I searched for peace but had no real lasting peace. My heart's desires were never satisfied. I was on a road that led no where and did not offer much consolation for my deepest and inmost needs. My soul was parched and dry.  The wells that I had dug were as empty cisterns that held no water to quench my thirsty heart. When I embraced the Lord Jesus Christ and drank from the well of Living Water, my thirst was indeed satisfied.

Jesus offers to anyone who will accept Him the good news of His Gospel. The ones who accept Him find deep satisfaction in His gift of grace that flows through all seasons whether there be hardships and trials or good times and joy. This grace is always alive in the believer.  It is like a fountain that consistently bubbles up and causes us to endure all situations and circumstances of life. Grace lives forever within the heart and never fades as does the temporal things of the world. Thus, the one who comes to Jesus has a spring of Living Water inside that makes the soul happy and keeps it restored.

A drink from Jesus does satisfy the longings and needs of the soul. No one or nothing can compare to Him. Jesus does quench the thirsty soul and fills it with everlasting life. O praise His name!

One of my favorite songs is "He Touched Me" by William Gaither. Like the words in this song, Jesus touched me and "now I am no longer the same." Jesus lifted me from the pits of misery, shame, and guilt and filled with good things! I was so wounded and sad when Jesus found me. He has worked miracles of new life in my heart and soul!

I would like to share this song with you. It is below. As you read it, let the words seep into your soul and be refreshed in Jesus.

O Lord, let the heavens echo with Thy praise!

Shackled by a heavy burden, 'Neath a load of guilt and shame.
Then the Hand of Jesus touched me, And now I am no longer the same.

Refrain One
He touched me, Oh, He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul.
Something happened and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole.

Since I met the Blessed Saviour, Since He cleansed and made me whole,
I will never cease to Praise Him! I'll shout it while eternity rolls.

Refrain One
He touched me, Oh, He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul.
Something happened and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole.

(repeat the refrain 2 times)
He touched me and made me whole.
