As night breaks into morning, we awake to the needs of a brand new day. We basically know what we need to do each day, but we do not know all that a new day will bring our way. If we are to be fully prepared for whatever the day brings, we must consult the One who sees  all and knows all, the One who gives us strength and courage, and the One who gives us wisdom and guidance.

Upon awaking, we usually get dressed and began to ready ourselves for the day. While dressing, we need to be sure to put on our spiritual clothing too. God instructs us, in Ephesians 6:ll, to put on His armor so that we will be prepared for the battles that we encounter daily.

If we dress ourselves in God's armor, we will be clothing ourselves in Jesus and His love. In turn, Jesus will live through us giving love, help, and hope to us and to those whom we are in contact with.

There is no better way to live than to live in Jesus.

Good Morning Father,
I come before you this day in thanksgiving for all that you have done for me and for all that you have planned for me to do and enjoy this day. I surrender my will to you that others may see Jesus in me.

I commit myself to your purposes and will today. Instruct me. Guide me. Lead me into paths of righteousness and deliver me from all evil.

I choose to put on your armor so that I am protected from the onslaught of the devil and so that other's may see Jesus in me and know that you reign in power and might.

I believe that you will provide for my every need whether it be courage to continue on or strength to take the next step. I am depending on you to supply my most intimate needs and to guide me in helping others. I know that you will cause me to be secure and keep me safe as I trust in you.

I commit to cast aside any imagination or thought that is contrary to your way or will. I desire to live in truth this day. I surrender my heart to you for you to mold me into the likeness of Jesus.

As I commit to you, Father, place in my heart your full armor that I will honor and glorify Jesus in all my ways, words, and thoughts.

Thank you that I may walk in your light because of who you are and what you will do in my life today. Thank you for saving me and remaining with me always. Thank you for the Holy Spirit to instruct and guide in the ways of Jesus.

In Jesus Name
Amen.
